Charlie & helpers brought the Carlow Senior Hurling Squad and Management team out on the Barrow River for a team bonding session during our 2024 Championship campaign. While safety was paramount for this large group, Charlie put the group at ease leading us down weirs and rapids and up through lock gates while also entertaining and educating us about the Barrow history. We cannot recommend the Go With The Flow team highly enough, Charlie ticked all the boxes with regard to our brief and a great morning was had by all.

Fantastic morning on the river with Charlie. First time kayaking for me, what a thrill. White water and weir’s oh my gosh I’m still buzzing. Can’t stop smiling every time I tell anyone about it. Don’t pass up a chance to do this. I’ll be back Charlie.

We had an amazing afternoon for my 61st birthday with family and friends. The whitewater tour we went on was fun and informative and possible for all ages although some of us got wetter than others. Charlie is a friendly and engaging host who is easy to communicate with and we will definitely be back.

Had the best of mornings with Jacob and Ava. They were so knowledgeable and friendly, and made the tour so much fun.

The tour itself was absolutely stunning – the weather helped! – and we got to experience moving through the locks, as well as the rapids and weirs.

Couldn’t recommend it highly enough for people of all ages and abilities, thanks again guys! 🌊🚣

We had a fantastic family adventure yesterday with Go With The Flow. A really fun afternoon and our 11 year old had a great time too. She had never canoed before and was a bit nervous but Jacob and Ava were brilliant. They made all the safety instructions really clear and we knew we were in safe hands. I’d highly recommend them. We’re hoping to book another day out soon. Thank you.

We had a wonderful kayaking trip down the barrow loop today with our excellent guides Darren and Jacob. 1st time out in a kayak and the guys took great care of us. Brilliant fun over the weirs and a very mindful paddle back to the harbour accompanied by birdsong and the lovely water. Would definitely recommend, even for the nervous, great adventure, definitely do it again , thank you guys.

Absolutely beautiful thing to do and a lovely set up they have.
Did the half day and paddled down to Graiguenamanagh, stopped and had a bite to eat and a shop about. Such a stunning forest, views and wild life. Definitely a wee bit harder getting back up the river but it’s all worth it

We recommend you bring at least a spare pair of shoes and extra clothes (you can get changed in the dressing rooms at the start).

We were a group of three self-guided Australians and visited May 2024. We hired one canoe, which 2 of us paddled, and 1 kayak. The weather was great, with sun shine for the entire 4 hours. We were met promptly and the vessels are kept in good order. We were given a ‘barrel’ to store our phones and dry clothes etc. We were able to contact the organisers during the paddle when we needed. Make sure you understand the transport arrangements as it is left to you to get yourself to the launch spot and back to town from where you emerge after the paddle. Some locks require some strength to navigate and the route around them is not always easy to locate. It can depend on seasonal conditions. This paddle was a highlight of our trip. It really is gorgeous, safe and fun! The river signs will always steer you safely around any rapids if you choose not to take them on! Thank you for this family run local business!

Charlie and his team brought 17 Scouts (Beavers and Cubs) between the ages of 6 and 9, and a handful of adults on an amazing trip along the Barrow for me today. The equipment was top class. Instruction was excellent. Scenery was amazing. His team was very friendly. Everyone had a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend booking a trip with Go With The Flow

We had an unforgettable stag party with Go With The Flow. Our group had a mix of kayaks and open canoes, which were perfect for our mix of abilities. Our guide Charlie and his friendly dog pal kept us entertained all morning with tonnes of interesting information about the history of the area and reassurance for those who were a bit nervous of the bumpier parts of the river!
Overall, it was a fantastic activity, filled with good fun and lots of laughs. I would definitely recommend Go With The Flow to anyone looking for a unique and enjoyable experience

I couldn’t recommend Charlie and the gang at Go with the flow highly enough. They put together a super 2 day package of kayaking and canoe along a beautiful stretch of the river barrow. I had never even sat on a kayak previously and was a little apprehensive but the guides put me totally at ease and I felt so safe in their hands. A big thanks to Darren and Ezra our guides who were amazing 🤩 I had the best fun shooting weirs and hitting fast water . Can’t wait to do it again 👍🏻👍🏻🛶🛶

Our guide Darren was amazing! He was friendly and helpful. He shared a lot of history and stories about the locks and the area we kayaked by on the river. It was a wonderful experience, kayaking over weirs, trying to kayak up a rapid, learning how to glide across the river. A unique and wonderful experience during our Ireland vacation.
